Tokyobookstore.com is an online shop based in the south east of England in close proximity to London. We ship high quality, unique books and magazines that are nearly impossible to find outside of Japan. In our own experience we had found it frustratingly hard to get hold of a wide range of genuine Japanese books for purchase in the United Kingdom and Europe, meaning you would usually have to purchase directly from Japan or the United States, costing more than the price of the book in shipping. We at Tokyobookstore.com believe there should be an easier way for fans of Japanese manga/pop culture to get the high quality product they deserve.

Our passion for manga and anime began when my brother and I started out watching the odd bit of anime, basically anything we could find on TV... which usually ended up being continuous Naruto repeats. This got rather tiresome after a while and we wanted to watch a wider variety of Japanese anime.
Our interests deepened as we started to get into all aspects of Japanese culture; music, anime, manga and not forgetting good old Sushi. This meant we travelled to London a few times a month to pick up the latest magazines and manga as it was very hard to get a wide variety anywhere else, even occasionally purchasing outrageously priced DVD’s and manga from America just to get our fix...

While we’re in Japan we rarely have time to ourselves, shopping and finding the best deals takes up most of our time but every now and then we get a chance to relax and do what we want to do...
